1. Release FB-5/FB-6 top cover by removing the locking split pin and special washer (1)
2. Remove the EPIRB
    Press down the spring loaded bracket plate and remove the hydrostatic unit by sliding it out of its locking slot(2)
3.Set expiration date of 2 years on the new hydrostatic release mechanism （4）
4.Install the new hydrostatic unit by: Pressing down the spring loaded bracket plate and sliding the unit into its locking slot (2 or 3)
5.Replace the EPIRB and the FB-5/FB-6 top cover
